Tuesday, July 19th - Golf Outing at the Meadows at Peabody Golf Course
Our golf outing will be at The Meadow at Peabody Golf Club. The Meadow at Peabody is an 18-hole regulation length public golf course and is situated on 259 acres with rolling terrain and various elevation changes. Its offers big greens, great fun, and a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. Price includes 18 holes and cart. All golfers are to be appropriately attired: collared shirts and no jeans. Tee off time will start at 9:30a, with a team leaving every 10 minutes (teams will know their assigned times in advance). The Meadow at Peabody has a limited supply of rental clubs. Please contact golf pro Peter Cronan directly at peter.cronan@comcast.net to reserve rental clubs. Of note: this is a public golf course run by the City of Peabody, which prohibits alcohol. We have a maximum of 36 players, and sign up is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wednesday, July 20th - 7 Seas Whale Watch
Take part in our family excursion and see the whales of the Atlantic coast with 7 Seas Whale Watch. The journey begins as soon as you board the Privateer, where you will be surrounded by the working waterfront of this historic town. The onboard naturalist will provide presentations, talks and information during the entire journey, visiting the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, then back to the dock. The entire trip takes 3 to 3.5 hours, with 90 minutes in the whale watching area. It is important to note that the whale watching trip is like a safari: the animals are not in captivity nor are they trained to perform tricks. These are truly wild and the unpredictability of the number of whales in any given location is part of the adventure. Maximum of 150 sailors, also a first-come, first-served basis.
Thursday, July 21st - Gloucester Foodie Tour
For spouses during the second day of general session we have organized a Foodie Tour of Gloucester with Cape Ann Foodie Tours. The tour is approx. 2.5 to 3 hours, covering less than a mile walking. Our native Gloucester guide brings historical knowledge and local color to the experience. We will visit six food stops and sample their specialties as we take in this amazing little town settled in 1623! Our stops include Harbor Loop, Topside Grill, Virgilio’s Bakery, Cape Ann Olive Oil Company and a few surprises! Space is limited to 50 participants, sign up is on a first-come, first-served basis.
