AGC Texas Building Branch Legislative Update

AGC EXPECTS CONTINGENT PAYMENT BILLS TO BE ASSIGNED TO COMMITTEES THIS WEEK
The Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate are expected to assign the contingent payment bills to committees this week.  AGC Texas Building expects the Speaker to send HB 734 by Representative Warren Chisum to the House Business and Industry Committee and it also anticipates that SB 324 by Senator Bob Deuell will be assigned to the Senate Business & Commerce Committee.

Send a letter to the following Representatives who are on the House – Business & Industry Committee – ask them to pass HB 734.  Following are the committee members: Chair – Helen Giddings, Desoto; Vice-Chair – Gary Elkins, Houston; Kevin Bailey, Houston; Dwayne Bohac, Houston; Joaquin Castro, San Antonio; Drew Darby, San Angelo; Armando Martinez, Weslaco; Burt Solomons, Carrollton; and Bill Zedler, Arlington.

Send a letter to the following Senators who are on the Senate – Business & Commerce Committee – ask them to pass SB 324.   Following are the  committee members: Chair – Troy Fraser, Marble Falls; Vice-Chair – Chris Harris, Arlington; Kip Averitt, Waco; Kevin Eltife, Tyler; Craig Estes, Wichita Falls; Kyle Janek, Houston; Eddie Lucio, Jr., Brownsville; Leticia Van de Putte, San Antonio; and Kirk Watson, Austin.  Send a letter to these Senators and ask them to pass SB 324.
